Video Production for Palm Sugar Lounge

Palm Sugar Lounge is one of the hottest Liverpool city centre bars and is situated in Chavasse Park in the Liverpool ONE shopping area with views of the Albert Dock.   It adjoins its sister company 'Chaophraya', a Thai fine dining restaurant.

The client approached us with the idea of producing a two minute promotional video which would show the live atmosphere, gorgeous surroundings and services available. The client was particularly interested in showing that the bar could be hired for corporate events and VIP private hire.

Filming was scheduled on two separate days, the first a busy Saturday night, allowing us to display the popularity of the bar and the great staff service. The second shoot took place on a Thursday night and the launch of 'Passionquila', a private corporate function including Latin dancing, Thai tapas food and a strict guest list. The two evening shoots allowed us capture the various events the company offer and the different consumers, ranging from the general public to celebrities such as the cast of Hollyoaks who enjoyed the VIP booths during 'Passionquila'.

Filming was a success and back at the studio a rough edit was created to show to the client, with feedback giving us an idea of the direction to take the footage. Graphic overlays, logos and text overlays were added to give the video an appropriate look and finish. A royalty free music loop was added, which fitted well with the exquisite style of the footage, giving the video a good flow.

The final video was rendered in full HD quality, ready for upload to YouTube, which allows high definition content streaming. Various other formats were encoded, for upload to social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter with key phrase optimisation, and to be displayed on the Palm Sugar website.
